6 Lead by 7 Bight video demo 1

The following is a series of short videos that show how to tie a 6 Lead by 7 Bight Turks Head on the Turks Head Tool. The videos introduce the Turks Head Tool, the Turks Head Cookbook recipe format and some basic methods that may be used in the tying of turks head knots.

First, some terminology: Leads - Bights - Single - Doubled - Tripled
To briefly illustrate some basic terms, I will describe the following three turks heads. They are all five-bight by three-lead knots. The one on the left is a simple but complete knot. The middle one has been doubled and the one on the right has been tripled.

My apologies for the huge video files. If I were to shoot them any smaller, the details of the crossings would not be visible. They are between 9 and 60Mb in size and may take a while to download on a slow connection.
